Recent Bretonnian Kings

The king has to be at least 14 to reign.
Many past Bretonnian kings were named Louis.
- Louis X le Sans-Soucis (without worries/concern)
- Regency of queen Louise la Magnifique (the superb)
- Charles I L'Énorme (the enormous)
- Charles II de la Dure (the hard one) also known as "Le
grand Charles" (the great/tall Charles)
- Regency of the duke de Gascogne, Gontrand le Bien Bel (the fine)
- Charles III de la Tête d'Or (golden head)
2415 Birth of Charles I
2419 Death of his father Louis X le Sans-Soucis
2419-2429 Strict regency of queen Louise
la Magnifique
This scheming queen played a great part in Marienburg's
independance.
Founding of "la chambre noire", a small royal
intelligence service.
2429-2486 Reign of Charles I L'énorme
- It isn't clearly known whether he was nicknamed "l'énorme"
because he was so disgustingly fat or because the Bretonnians
thought he was very great.
(very long reign) 57 years
The building of Oisillon palace is started
The end of the reign is difficult, start of Bretonnian
degeneration. Corruption becomes very widespread.
Moussillon earthquake disaster.
Many debts are made.
First serious uproars in Guisoreux.
2460 Birth of Charles II
2485 Birth of Charles III
2486-2500 Reign of Charles II de la Dure,
(Le grand Charles)
warlike king. A very tall man, very much assured of Bretonnian
superiority.
He enjoyed nothing more than violent sports and hunting.
He liked to surround himself with soldiers.
He had designs to gain control of the northern Estalian kingdoms. Especially the kingdom of Tigarre (Bilbali).
- founding of the order of musketeers
- the building of a very modern war fleet is ordered.
End of building of Oisillon palace. Move of the court to
Oisillon.
Further debts are made.
2490 Death of Charles I
2500 Death of Charles II
He suffers a fatal injury during a joust against a very vigorous
knight from Albion at the Royal tournament of Couronne.
2500-2508 Regency of the duke de
Gascogne, Charles II's brother, Gontrand le Bien Bel.
Oisillon Palace becomes famous in all the Old World for its
lavish parties.
Charles III doesn't seem to be in any hurry to rule Bretonnia.
Rise to power of the shallyan Cardinal Dumourieux.
2508 Death of the decadent regent Gontrand le Bien Bel.
